A simple question can reveal whether a business is built around temporary advantages or lasting value: What is our core promise?

One question I like to ask is: what is our core promise? It is easy to focus on features, products, and capabilities, but the real source of long-term relevance is understanding the value we consistently create for customers. A clear and enduring promise provides direction for every decision and helps a company stay meaningful as markets, technologies, and customer expectations evolve.

Sovereign products need a clear purpose for users, but building local alternatives also reduces long term dependence.

When you build something and market it heavily as a sovereign product, the first question should be why sovereignty matters in this case and what benefit it gives to the people using it. If the answer is only that the product is Indian, that is probably not enough. Users care about things that make their lives better, such as better support, local understanding, stronger data control, or reliability. Sovereignty needs to translate into a real advantage instead of being used as a label on its own.

At the same time, not finding a strong user-facing answer today does not mean the idea should be abandoned. If every important technology comes from outside the country, it creates long term dependence on foreign companies and the decisions of people who may not have the country's interests in mind. Building local alternatives can be important even when they are not the strongest option at first. The goal should be to create products that stand on their own quality while also giving the country more control over its technological future.

It is always interesting to see the gap between what a company says and what they actually do.

Their homepage invites you to bring them a paper plan, to start from nothing. But the email says they are passing because the product and market are too early.

Marketing is easy.
At some point, staying home costs you more than rent ever will.

There comes a point where moving out of your parents' place stops being about independence and starts being about speed. The ideological gap between you and your parents is real, and bridging it takes time, energy, and rounds of convincing that the world outside simply refuses to wait for. When everything around you is moving at triple the pace it used to, you need an environment where you can absorb the bad, process it fast, and get straight to work.

Living under someone else's framework, someone whose pace and priorities were built for a different era, slows that down. Moving out is less about freedom and more about removing friction from your own path. The faster you can dissolve the poison and get to what actually matters, the further ahead you get.

The web does not need more decoration. It needs more discipline.

The internet already went through this. Flash intros, loading screens, heavy animations, websites that looked expensive and felt terrible to use. They were impressive for ten seconds, then everyone skipped them.

That is why I think about this when I see people calling AI generated videos “websites.” A website is not a showreel. It is a tool. If it does not load on normal devices, if it hides the point behind decoration, it is not beautiful. It is just noise with good lighting.

try this

The TanStack supply chain attack was serious enough that I am pausing everything and asking people to hold off on using my tools until I can properly audit them.

By now you have probably seen what happened on May 11. The TeamPCP group chained a GitHub Actions Pwn Request with cache poisoning and OIDC token extraction to push 84 malicious versions across 42 TanStack packages, and the worm spread from there to UiPath, Mistral AI, OpenSearch, and others. What made this one particularly alarming is that the malicious packages carried valid SLSA Build Level 3 provenance attestations, meaning the usual "check the signature" advice offered zero protection. Anyone who ran npm install on May 11 inside that window is advised to rotate every credential the build host could reach.

I own dev tools that people pull into their pipelines, and I have audited nothing yet. I am traveling right now with only my iPhone, and a real audit requires my full setup and full attention. Until I get back and go through everything properly, I am asking people to hold off on using my tools. If you proceed anyway, I have warned you, and I take no responsibility for what happens. The moment I am back and have completed the audit, I will post a full update here with a clear answer on where things stand.

LeetCode is still one of the best places for people to practice coding and improve their problem solving skills, so I hope it never gets shut down or turned into something that fully depends on AI. A lot of people still enjoy solving problems on their own and learning through the process, and the platform has real value beyond just interview prep. I’ll keep using it either way and I hope it stays simple, open, and focused on actual learning.

After spending years stress testing AI in every conceivable way, I have built a daily tech stack that actually works for me. My current setup relies on premium tiers across the board, including the Gemini Pro plan, Claude Pro with auto reload always on, and Perplexity Pro. You might notice that ChatGPT is completely missing from this list, and that is intentional because I skip it entirely. Instead of relying on a single tool, I assign very specific roles to the models that actually excel at what I need them to do.

When it comes to raw thinking and execution, Claude is my absolute top choice. I use it for literally everything that requires deep cognitive work. Whether I am breaking down complex projects, mapping out new pathways, coding, or even designing brand kits, Claude handles the heavy lifting beautifully. It is simply incredible at processing logic and helping me think through difficult problems.

For writing, Gemini sits in a league of its own. No one can beat Gemini at writing, absolutely no one. It has completely mastered that signature, approachable Google brand language that I prefer for my content. I am just guessing that it did not learn how to write like this by scanning all of our private Gmails to train itself, but whatever magic it uses, it works perfectly. While I am a big fan of Apple's clean brand voice, Google's style is exactly what I want when generating text.

Finally, when I need to dig into research, I rely on a combination of Perplexity and Grok. The best part about Perplexity is how it forces models to stay grounded by actually making them search the web for real information first. I personally run Claude Sonnet 4.6 on my Perplexity Pro account to get the most accurate, detailed answers possible. This entire stack covers every base I need, proving that finding the right AI is all about matching the specific tool to the right task.

Every time a tech giant fumbles through a feature launch, the tech press starts writing obituaries for the challengers. They conveniently ignore the fact that those "dead" companies are still pulling in hundreds of millions of queries and holding onto multi-billion dollar valuations. This isn't a zero-sum gladiator pit. The market is expanding and users aren't monogamous with their software. Incumbents are usually just playing a desperate game of catch-up while the challengers keep shipping better products. If you’re still buying into the drama that every new update is a death blow, you’re not "informed." You’re just a sucker for a cheap headline.

I used to think Amazon Web Services was very complicated. The console looked crowded and the number of services made it feel intimidating. For a long time I avoided it because I assumed it would be too difficult. One day I decided that I would just sit down and try it. Once I started exploring and actually building things, I realized it was not as scary as I had imagined. It did take some effort to understand, but step by step it began to make sense.

That experience taught me that many things in technology look harder from the outside than they really are. The hardest part is often getting started. When I stopped overthinking and began trying things for myself, the confusion slowly turned into clarity. I also realized how helpful modern tools like Claude can be when learning something new. When I got stuck, I could ask questions and keep moving forward.

More than anything, this experience reminded me to stay curious and patient with myself. Every new tool has a learning curve, and that is normal. What matters is the willingness to begin and to keep going even when things are not clear at first. Now when I see something that looks complex, I try to approach it with the same mindset. Start small, learn step by step, and trust that understanding will come with practice.

Age is just a number, yet some people think it is a crown. I find it hilarious when adults demand a level of respect they refuse to give back. Existing for a few extra decades is an achievement of time, not character. If you want my regard, earn it through your actions and your integrity. A birth year provides zero excuse for being condescending or entitled. I value people who treat others with decency, regardless of how long they have been on this planet. If you expect me to bow down simply because you are older, you are going to be waiting a long time.

As an atheist, I find the trend of prompt engineering "spiritual" bots to simulate a conversation with a deity both absurd and deeply flawed. Creating a digital mimic of something people consider infinite is inherently reductive, and it feels like a hollow exercise in human ego rather than a meaningful pursuit. Beyond the philosophical mismatch, there is a glaring technical reality: these models are easily manipulated. I can take any "divine" persona and, with a simple jailbreak, force it to adopt offensive labels or spew nonsense. This vulnerability proves that there is nothing sacred behind the screen; it is just a fragile set of probabilities that can be flipped into something vulgar in an instant. Building a "God" out of silicon and code makes it a target for mockery, highlighting the massive gap between actual conviction and a programmed script.

Why I changed the name from 'blog' to 'writings', and why language shapes perception.

I changed the URL from /blog to /writings, and I want to explain why it mattered enough to make the shift.

The word "blog" started feeling like a label that was doing too much categorizing and too little describing. What I was actually putting here had weight to it. These were essays that took shape over weeks. They were reflections I kept returning to until they said what I meant. They were attempts to work through ideas that felt important enough to get right. The word "blog" was flattening all of that into something lighter than what was actually happening on the page.

Calling it "writings" gives the work its real name. It honors the time these pieces ask from me and the attention they deserve from you. It acknowledges that this space holds more than updates or quick thoughts. These are writings. They take form slowly. They try to offer something worth engaging with. The change is small in technical terms, but it matters because language shapes perception. I wanted the name to match the care I bring to what lives here.

I've just realized that psychology and design might actually be the through line I've been looking for. They give me a way to understand people and build things that serve them better. When I design with psychological insight, I'm working with how minds actually process information, how attention flows, how decisions form under pressure. Every interface becomes a chance to reduce cognitive load, clarify choices, honor the mental reality of the person using it. This feels like something I'm genuinely built for. I understand both the invisible architecture of human behavior and the practical tools to respond with real solutions. As I wrote earlier, I'm committed to staying curious and open to fresh starts. This intersection gives me depth to master while keeping the flexibility to experiment across contexts. I think this might be it.

it's so stupid because i GET the material, i chose this, but turning it into formatted answers for some examiner who's gonna skim my paper in 90 seconds has completely killed whatever interest i had. and now i'm just stuck in this limbo where the exam feels both too close and too abstract to matter. anyway. guess i'll figure it out or i won't. whatever happens happens at this point

It has been a year since I left all that behind, and it feels like I finally took a deep breath. I am staying on this path for good.
